Vault Confidentiality Agreement

Every statement in the vault was written by someone describing the worst financial decision of their life, in their own words, under penalty of perjury. Members read each other's statements only because everyone in the room has made the same commitment. This is that commitment.
What you agree to
- The affidavit vault is private. Its contents are shared only with members who have their own approved affidavit on file and who have signed this agreement.
- I will not share, screenshot, photograph, copy, download, forward, or otherwise redistribute any vault content — in whole or in part — to anyone outside this group, including on social media, in group chats, or with journalists.
- I will not use another member's statement, or any detail from it, for any purpose other than understanding this shared effort. I will not contact another member about their statement outside the platform without their permission.
- I understand that violating this agreement may result in my vault access being revoked and my membership terminated, and may expose me to liability to the affected member.
- I understand that this is a member-to-member trust agreement. It is not legal advice, BDAP is not a law firm, and signing it creates no attorney-client relationship.
How the agreement is recorded
Before your first entry into the vault you will be asked to type your full legal name and confirm each term. Your signature, the date and time, and your IP address are recorded in the platform's audit log. Administrators can view this log and can revoke access.
Why there is no download button in the vault
The vault deliberately has no export, download, or print function. Bulk material for prospective law firms is prepared separately by administrators as an anonymized case package, so that nobody needs to carry copies of other people's sworn statements around.
